Last Week of Freedom

Next Monday is the big day, after months of studying and studying more and waiting, I will start my first real job as a Neurosurgical Physician Assistant. Wow.

Nervous / Excited / Feel like there is a giant rock in my stomach.

I think everything will be fine and I'm sure I'm just flipping out over nothing, which is typical. But I still feel like this is so important and such a big day.

Enough about work, this month is going to be awesome. Blake's parents are coming in town and it is our 25th (me) and 26th (Blake's) birthdays! So get ready for a great party!

Here are some pictures from 4th of July over at Katie and Chris Hart!

Mwarwaige

The title of this post refers to the priest in The Princess Bride. It's for the two latest newlyweds, Amy & Jeff Patenaude.

This was a beautiful event at the Tampa Bay Yacht Club thanks to Amy & Amy's mom Susan.

I also wanted to say congratulations to three newlyweds that I went to UAB PA school with. Abigail (Rountree) Croft and Peter Croft got married in Tennessee at Sewanee and I heard it was absolutely amazing. As well as, Jessica (Comer) Parham and Luke Parham got married in Tennessee. Blake and I wanted to make it to both of these special events but were unable to attend. We wish you all the love and happiness in your marriage.

It seems like when it rains it pours and we have two more friends getting married this summer. Obviously wedding season is upon us. My best friend Jennifer George is marrying Charles Ramsey in Birmingham, AL in August. (So excited to be a bridesmaid!) And Amy Alich is marrying Michael Bender in Indiana in September.

Congratulations to all of you!! xoxo

Boards & Getting a Grown Up Job

Okay it's been a while because things have been a little crazy. Two big things have happened 1) Passed Boards (thank goodness) and 2) Unofficially have a job with a neurosurgeon.

The unofficial part is that credentialing for the hospital has been a little bumpy. Which I am learning is to be expected. This is a great opportunity and because patience is not my strongest virtue I am assuming that this whole dilemma is happening for a reason (love it when that happens).

Technically I have only been "off" for one month. But it feels like forever. I have been reassured that everything is going to come together and I will start my job the end of June/beginning of July. Yay!

B&K - new life

First post ever. My thinking was that this would be a better way to keep up with family and friends because we are all over the country.

Graduation from UAB is a week away. Blake has been working at a law firm down in Tampa for 4 weeks now. We have been married for almost 4 months. We are renting a condo in Hyde Park and moving in December 12. To say the least, the last year has been a little hectic.

We are so excited to finally be living together and actually be newlyweds after 2 1/2 years of being in Birmingham and Blake being in St. Petersburg.

Keeping in touch is always difficult for me, so I hope this blog can help everyone be a little bit closer.

xoxo
